Powerful Production Engines
Two production engines implemented in 4RU and 8RU frames, enable Acuity to eliminate I/O limitations and add new levels of internal processing power and signal management capability. SD, HD, 3G and 4K production are all easy to achieve within these two processing engines.
Every frame packs a fully-loaded production feature set. Each ME of the system is outfitted with 8 keyers, 2 UltraChrome chroma keyers, 16 2D DVEs, 4 optional 3D DVEs, and 4 8GB MediaStores.
In addition to ME resources, Acuity is built with system-wide memories, custom controls, internal multiviewers, format conversion software, and more.
Acuity is the most comprehensive large-scale switcher ever developed.
Output Transitions
The Acuity Production Switcher’s design brings independent mixing and keying capability to auxiliary bus outputs.
AuxKeys allow you to brand any output, overlay titles, or cut/mix sources on auxiallary bus outputs. Control of these aux resources is completely independent and uses no ME resources. This is great for management of on-set display content.
Facility-Grade MultiViewers
With flexible ME/MultiViewer resources, and input MultiViewers on optional MultiProcessing input cards, Acuity can be the single monitoring hub for your entire facility. Benefit from huge reductions in wiring, external routing, and signal distribution systems – for a cost-effective monitoring workflow.
Every Acuity ME can be re-assigned as a 4-head, 20-window MultiViewer, for viewing of up to 32 total sources. Each MultiViewer has user selectable layouts with the individual choice of border, tally and UMD label display for each source. Each of Acuity’s MultiVIewers also offer 4 channels of MediaStore with 8 GB of ram cache – just like an ME!
In addition, Acuity can be outfitted with optional multiprocessing input cards that provide a dedicated 20 source input MultiViewer on every card. These card MultiViewers free up internal switcher resources.
MultiFeed Split MEs
Acuity’s MultiFeed technology allows each ME to be split into 2 MES, each with independent control.
When Split ME mode is engaged, each ME becomes 2 MES (A & B ME sections) with configurable keys and background sources, effectively doubling the ME count. Each ME section has independent transition control, pattern generators, memories, and custom controls. Additionally, each ME section can include any key combination up to a maximum of 8 keys (16 DVEs).
MultiFeed Configurable Outputs
MultiFeed provides the configurable output power you need for multiple feeds with different branding/captioning requirements or to drive on-stage displays – all from a single ME.
Each ME is equipped with MultiFeed which provides 8 programmable outputs – 6 program and 2 preview. Select any combination of keys on any of the 6 program outputs to create multiple uniquely-keyed outputs for multi-channel productions. No other switcher offers the flexibility to separately brand any ME output, and selectively preview keys and backgrounds.
Tremendous DVE Resources
Acuity delivers a new level of DVE resources in a single ME to create incredible composite “box shots”.
Every ME has 16 2D DVE / Resizers with dual channel key combiners. With Unique DVE key combiners that enable two DVE ‘boxes’ to be composited in a single ME keyer, it’s easy to create a 10-box shot while still having keyers available for graphics and branding. Optionally, four channels (2 with key and fill) of 3D DVEs with curvilinear effects can be added to each ME, in addition to the existing 2D DVEs
