Carbonite Switcher

Switch with confidence on Carbonite – the hallmark Ross Video product. Decades of production switcher experience have gone into this mid-sized power house, resulting in a truly incredible feature-set.

Graphite contains the full Carbonite feature set, with up to 2 powerful MEs and 4 MiniMEs.

Each ME has four powerful keyers with luma, linear, chroma, and DVE key types as well as an additional fifth transition keyer for animated Media Wipes and DVE transitions. Meanwhile, each MiniME includes an independent mixer and 2 keyers.

In addition to creative resources, Carbonite is built with internal video processing resources for frame sync and format conversion, as well as a dual-head MultiViewer for easy monitoring. This greatly reduces the cost and complexity of getting your production up and running.

XPression Graphics

Near limitless layering on a single channel, with true 3D objects and animations, XPression Graphite is the motion graphics engine that simply can’t be matched by other all-in-one systems.

XPression Graphite provides multi-layer 3D animated graphics. From a desktop interface, scenes and templates are designed, built, and saved for later use or immediately available for keying over video inputs. This independent user interface allows on-the-fly creation and editing during productions.

Integrated Clip Server

Creatively utilize video clips with instant access and frame accurate recall with XPression Clips. Record video or store XPression Graphite animations for use in your productions.

Graphite includes two channels of XPression Clips, clip servers that add another layer of production sophistication. Users can record, manage, and play-out video clips on-the-fly from within a predetermined sequence or rundown. XPression Clips provides a full database to browse, catalog, and play out clips – with instant recall times and back-to-back clip transitions.

Unmatched Audio

Handle demanding live audio with the professional 48-channel RAVE audio mixer. Enjoy the features of a dedicated audio mixer including 24-bit processing with sample rate conversion, SDI-embedded channel pair management, and audio EQ.

RAVE is a 48-channel audio mixer with high quality 24-bit processing. RAVE provides access to audio from embedded-SDI inputs, internal sources like XPression and XPression Clips, and even PC audio sources such as Skype. Within each SDI input, RAVE can access all 16 embedded channels (8 pairs) and assign them to available faders within the mixer.

Standard input and output controls are available in the RAVE audio mixer: Fader volume control (-∞ to +20-dB), pre-fade listen, Pre- & post-fade audio meter/peak indicators, mute, and mono pan control + mono duplication.

On the output side, users have 6 Audio AUX channels available for the creation of custom mixes – great for mix/minus feeds and unique outputs. In addition, SDI-embedded audio output channels are user-configurable with passthrough, all mixes, Main mix, Monitor mix and custom aux mixes.

With the addition of up to 3 optional audio breakout panels, RAVE gains access to discrete Analog and Digital audio I/O with microphone pre-amps and phantom power. The RAVE mixer features 4-band audio EQ (high-shelf, dual mid-shelf, and low-shelf) to draw out the best parts of your sound and remove the undesirable noise.

DashBoard Control

Create a control workflow for your specific production environment, with DashBoard network control software.

DashBoard provides full control of Graphite’s switcher and audio mixer from any network-connected PC. With DashBoard CustomPanels – you can tailor a graphical user interface to control virtually anything in your production environment.

Thanks to network control, you can create a multi-operator environment with network-connected PCs for high-intensity shows.

Graphite PCIe

Graphite is built with unique hardware to ensure high quality performance and total reliability.

The Graphite PCIe efficiently distributes the system workload, eliminating the performance issues traditionally associated with all-in-one systems. The PCIe card Is responsible for Graphite’s internal Carbonite switcher, RAVE audio mixer, and switcher frame buffers. This processing is fully-independent from the main PC and operates on a unique OS, freeing up the main PC CPU to tap powerful XPression graphics and quickly play and record video clips.

In the event of a PC-based failure, the Graphite PCIe will continue to function so long as power is still connected – meaning your switcher and audio mixer will continue to run as though nothing happened.
